Review SEO, performance, and common mistakes

A published site still needs clear metadata, accessible images, compressed assets, reusable classes, working forms, and a mobile review. Use this final launch checklist.

A site can be public and still be poorly prepared. Complete a final review before calling the project finished.

Titles, descriptions, and image alternatives

Set a useful title and meta description in each page's SEO or Search Settings. For CMS templates, connect these fields to the appropriate collection values.

Write meaningful alt text for informative images so screen readers can communicate their purpose. Decorative images should be handled as decorative rather than given repetitive keyword text.

Optimize media and layout

Resize and compress images before upload. A file far larger than its displayed dimensions wastes bandwidth.

Avoid creating a unique class for every element. Reuse role based classes so one design change updates the system.

Review every page at mobile breakpoints, not only on the desktop canvas. Check text wrapping, horizontal overflow, tap targets, and stacked layouts.

Final launch checklist

  • Every important page has a specific title and description
  • Informative images have useful alt text
  • Large images are resized and compressed
  • Classes are reusable and named clearly
  • Every page has been reviewed on a narrow mobile screen
  • Forms were tested with a real submission
  • The custom domain loads over HTTPS
  • Staging and duplicate domain versions do not compete with the canonical site

Course summary

You selected Webflow for the right project, learned its page and class model, added repeatable CMS content, connected a domain, and completed a launch review. Continue by applying the same structure to a small real site before adding more complex interactions.
