Lesson 1/63 min read

An unanswered buying question can become a lost sale

Customers ask about shipping, returns, fit, and availability at any hour. Learn what Tidio does, why response time matters, and when the tool is useful or excessive.

A visitor is close to buying, then asks about delivery, returns, compatibility, or size. If the answer arrives after the visitor has left, the conversation may no longer help the purchase.

Why response speed matters

Fast support reduces uncertainty, but speed is not the only goal. A quick wrong answer can create more damage than a slower accurate one. The useful target is a prompt, trustworthy response with a clear route to a person when needed.

What Tidio does

Tidio combines a website chat widget, shared inbox, automation flows, and an AI support product called Lyro. The widget creates the conversation surface. Your knowledge base and rules determine how useful the automation becomes.

Tidio can fit a store or service site with repeated questions and limited support capacity. It may be unnecessary when message volume is tiny or every case requires specialist human judgment.

What this course builds

You will install the widget, add reliable knowledge, create simple flows, connect available channels, and define the rules for human handoff.

Lesson checklist

  • I identified the questions that delay buying decisions
  • I understand the difference between the widget, inbox, flows, and Lyro
  • I decided whether my message volume justifies the setup

Next, you will create the account and install the widget.
