Turn Your Freelance Skill Into an Easy to Buy Packaged Service

Most freelancers sell hours: my rate is this, my day rate is that. But clients do not want to buy hours, they want to buy outcomes: my Etsy shop shows up in search, my Amazon listing converts better, my ad spend actually makes money. When you sell hours, every job gets negotiated from scratch, your price ceiling is capped by your calendar, and the client thinks you are expensive because they cannot see what they are actually getting. Once you turn your skill into a packaged, tiered offer (three levels), the whole thing starts to look like a product that is easy to buy: clear positioning, clear price, clear promise. This prompt takes the scattered I can do this and I can do that in your head and turns it into a menu the client says yes to. What the AI does: it takes the packaging, pricing, and positioning instincts you built up over years and structures them into a framework in minutes. Instead of staring at a blank page, you start from a solid draft you just need to correct.

Prompt: copy it, fill in the fields, run it
You are an experienced freelance business consultant who moves freelancers from selling hours to selling outcomes. Your expertise: productized services, tiered pricing, positioning, and sales messaging. You know the ecommerce ecosystem (Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, dropshipping) and the real pain points of these sellers well.

Your task: take the 9 inputs below and turn my freelance skill into a structured framework for an easy to buy, tiered service offer.

INPUTS:
1. My core skill or service: [e.g. Etsy product photography and listing SEO, Amazon A+ content, product description copywriting, Meta and Google ad management]
2. My experience level and background: [how many years, who or what kind of work I have handled before, be specific, do not exaggerate]
3. The sector or niche I am targeting: [e.g. Etsy shops selling handmade jewelry, private label Amazon sellers, boutique fashion Shopify stores]
4. My ideal client: [rough business size and revenue, what stage: just launched or scaling, what they get stuck on most]
5. My pricing preference: [flat project fee, package, monthly retainer, rough range if any; do not make up a number, I will provide it]
6. Typical project scope: [what I normally deliver on a job, how long it takes, how many revisions]
7. What sets me apart from competitors: [e.g. I am fast because I build AI into my process, I am deeply specialized in one niche, I work from data]
8. My business goal: [higher prices, fewer but bigger clients, recurring revenue, less negotiating]
9. Where I find or want to find clients: [e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, Etsy forums, ecommerce communities, cold email, referrals]

OUTPUT (produce the following 10 sections, with headings, clear and actionable):

1. POSITIONING STATEMENT: One clear sentence in the pattern "I help [who] achieve [what outcome] through [how]" plus 2 alternatives. Outcome language, not hours or effort.

2. IDEAL CLIENT PROFILE: Clarify the client this offer fits PERFECTLY (their stage, pain point, budget signal), plus the client type this offer does NOT fit, where I need to say no.

3. CORE OFFER (outcome promise): Define what I sell in one sentence, from the client's point of view, as an outcome (not "listing edits" but "making your product visible and clickable in search").

4. 3 TIER PACKAGE: Starter / Standard / Premium. For each: package name, who it fits, what it includes (as a list), delivery time, number of revisions, promised outcome. I will provide the price range, do not invent one. Just add a "[price]" placeholder to each tier, and make the value gap between tiers clear (the middle tier should be the deliberate "anchor" that looks most attractive).

5. ADD ON SERVICES (upsells): 3 to 4 small add ons that layer onto the core package (e.g. rush delivery, extra variation, monthly monitoring, competitor analysis).

6. DIFFERENTIATORS: 3 to 4 concrete reasons that set me apart from the cheap alternative. Not cliches, provable ones.

7. SALES MESSAGE: One short DM or email template for first contact, plus one paragraph of intro copy for a profile or offer page. In MK's tone: direct, warm, no fluff.

8. OBJECTION HANDLING: The 4 most likely objections ("too expensive", "I can do that myself, AI does it anyway", "how do I know this will work", "let me think about it"), each with a calm, non defensive, value focused response.

9. CLIENT ACQUISITION STRATEGY: Based on input 9, a simple 30 day plan for making this offer visible: content angle, where I make first contact, how I build up social proof.

10. 5 STEPS TO TAKE RIGHT NOW: Concrete, sequential tasks I can do today or this week.

RULES:
- Do not produce made up statistics, fake percentages, or unproven claims like "my clients grew by X%." Leave it blank or use a "[insert your own real example here]" placeholder.
- Do not give generic "freelancer" advice. Customize everything to my niche and ecommerce context from the inputs.
- Keep the language plain and actionable. Avoid fancy agency jargon.
- If an input is missing or unclear, ask me a clear question before assuming anything.

First, just confirm this: "Send me your inputs and I will build the framework." Once I paste all 9 inputs, produce the full output.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the placeholders (especially [price], your experience, and real examples) with your own ACTUAL data. Do not invent numbers or client results. Leave a field blank and fill it in later once you have real proof.
  2. After you get the three tiers, deliberately make the middle tier (Standard) the most attractive offer: stack the value you want most clients to pick there, and keep Premium a bit pricier as the anchor.
  3. Copy the sales message and objection responses and test them in a real DM or pitch. Based on the reaction you get, ask the AI to harden or soften a specific objection response.

Example / tip

"I have spent 3 years providing product photography and listing SEO for Etsy shops that sell handmade jewelry. I want to turn this into a package. My clients are small sellers who just opened shop, and their biggest problem is my product does not show up in search. I prefer a flat project fee, and my goal is fewer but repeat clients. What sets me apart: I use AI to produce image and title variations fast. I find clients on Instagram." The AI takes these inputs and produces a three tier package (e.g. Single Product Showcase Package / Shop Cleanup Package / Monthly Visibility Package), each with outcome focused content, price placeholders, an Instagram DM template, and a 30 day client acquisition plan.

Usage example

Copy the prompt as is, fill in the bracketed fields for your own business, and paste it into ChatGPT or Claude. The more concrete your input, the more useful the output. Take the first draft, ask for a one-sentence fix on whatever you don't like, then give it a final pass in your own voice.

When not to use it

Don't force it if you have no real input to work with. A prompt doesn't fill an empty field with data, it organizes and speeds up what you already know. Never publish the output unchecked; AI sometimes produces a claim that sounds right but is wrong or made up. Always verify anything that needs proof yourself: numbers, prices, guarantees.

Output quality checklist

  • Is the output specific to your input, or generic filler that fits any business? If it's generic, run it again with more concrete input.
  • Does every number, ratio, or claim have something backing it? Delete the unbacked ones or soften them honestly.
  • Does it sound like you? Simplify the cliches and inflated lines in your own voice.
  • Does it give one clear next step? If the reader knows what to do, the output did its job.
